Dawn Trabing

Dawn Trabing brings an impressive blend of experience, expertise and enthusiasm to the world of wine at Wit & Wisdom, A Tavern by Michael Mina. Drawing on more than 10 years of experience in the wine industry and six years with Mina Group, Trabing upholds the exceptional service standards Mina’s restaurants are recognized for.

Trabing’s dream of working in the wine industry wasn’t always obvious. It was when she took a position at a small family owned wine bar and craft cocktail restaurant that she uncovered her true passion: wine and spirits. After a few short months, she quickly worked her way up to becoming Beverage Director, which led her to follow her dream of going into the wine business full-time.

In 2011, she moved to Baltimore where she discovered Wit and Wisdom. “I knew the caliber of Michael Mina and the Four Seasons brand, so I knew I had to get my foot in the door,” says Trabing. She took the opportunity to join the restaurant as a server and used her beverage expertise to work her way up to a Sommelier. In her current role, you can find her utilizing her talent for detecting the nuances in wine and further developing and leading the restaurant’s award-winning wine program, while mentoring her peers along the way.

To this day, she continues to further her wine education and most recently became a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers and is working towards completing a Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced degree.
